Pillow Talk

Dukey had to work late tonight, so the BFF & I took off to Atlanta for a day of shopping. Did I mention she is furnishing/decorating her new apartment? Anyways, we figured it would be a good idea to take a peek at some of the decorative items at Pottery Barn, just to get ideas. I also had a couple of things to exchange there, so this was the perfect opportunity to go.

Dukey & I have been on the search for some decorative pillows for the living room and guest bedroom. We finally got lucky and got these...


And these...


We love them!! They are the perfect color combination to tie in with the rest of the rooms!


Mission accomplished!! Guess who also likes the new cushions??

Cherry Hill Cookout

Tonight, we invited a couple of our neighbors over for dinner. Dukey had a new smoker he wanted to try out, so we invited guests to help us!! Our guests brought Noah's newest friend, Piper and they had a blast chasing each other all over the house. We had so much fun talking and enjoying our meals!!


Our new neighbors got hitched precisely two weeks before us, so it was fun to share wedding stories together. We are o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with them!! We had the same wedding planner and photographer so naturally, we had a lot of stories to share. We were told by our wedding planner that we HAD to meet each other because we were twin couples, and our wedding planner hit the nail on the head! We will definitely have to have another Cherry Hill Cookout pronto!

Pookie's Graduation

Tomorrow is the graduation day of my sweet sister-in-law...


And she is graduating from law school! What an accomplishment!! We are so, very proud of you and hope you are as happy as a clam!! Wish we could be there, Pookie!

Real Deals

Today, the BFF & I ventured to the outlets in Calhoun, GA to find a couple of items we had been on the hunt for. You would not believe the deals we both got!!

1. A pair of these for the honeymoon. Check! ($13 steal at Old Navy Factory stores!!!!!)


2. A couple of these for the Dukey, so we can throw his old tees out ($14/tee). Still working on it!


3. And a couple of other things we didn't know we were on the hunt for until we found them!! Doesn't it always work out that way??

Mother's Day

We have the best mothers on the face of the earth. That is why we would like to celebrate them on this day, and on every other day as well! We threw the big soiree we had been promising ever since I moved to Romega. Better late than never :)

We gave gifts...


We cooked...


We baked...


And we celebrated, double time for double mothers!! We love you, Mama's!! :)

Graduation

Today, I graduated from my school counseling M.Ed. program at the University of West Georgia. I was so thankful to have my parents, Dukey's parents, and Dukey there to support me. They supported me throughout my whole program, each and every day.

On this day, I am thankful to my parents. For always encouraging me to chase my dreams.


For Dukey's parents. And other family & friends. For the sweet and supportive emails, texts, and phone calls.


For sweet new friends, for making the journey a lot more fun!


And for Dukey. For not only supporting my decisions, but making me follow through with them. Oh, and for taking my online class for me :) I love you so, very much!!

A Bridal Shower

Today, I celebrated the upcoming marriage of our good friends from Alabama by helping host a bridal shower.


The shower was held in Birmingham, AL and it was absolutely perfect!


We had the best time catching up...

and opening presents...


PAG is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people I know. And her fiance is just as sweet as she is.


What a wonderful occasion to celebrate.
